Elizabeth Ihle
Principal
I am thrilled and honored to be selected as the next principal of Vickery Creek Elementary School. I have lived in the Vickery community for the past 11 years with my husband and our two children. Both of my children proudly completed their entire elementary education here at VCE. This will be my 19th year in education. I began my career in education as a long-term substitute in Florida. After getting certified, I taught Language Arts at both the middle school and high school levels before becoming a Reading Coach and then a District Literacy Specialist. In Forsyth County, I worked at South Forsyth High School as an Assistant Administrator before coming to Vickery Creek Middle School as an Assistant Principal in 2017.
The mission of Vickery Creek Elementary is to ignite the joy of learning and inspire leaders. I believe we do this by continuing to foster our community to remain safe, connected, and thriving. I look forward to learning and leading with you all.

Jessica Howington
Assistant Principal Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd Grade AdministratorHello! I'm Jessica Howington, and I'm excited for another great year as a Viking. I am blessed to be living my purpose every day here at VCE! I'm eagerly anticipating the opportunity to meet this year's Vikings and their parents. Together, we'll work to make this a truly fulfilling year for your child!
I completed my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education and went on to earn both a Masters and Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I've also obtained an endorsement in English for Speakers of Other Languages, as well as my Dyslexia endorsement.
Outside of school, I enjoy sharpening my saw by spending quality time with my family and friends. Whether it's through travel, enjoying the outdoors, or indulging in a bit of shopping. I also stay active by playing tennis and taking walks with my dog, Dixie.
In my role as Assistant Principal, I aim to assist teachers and families in ensuring student achievement across academics, social-emotional learning, and behavioral development. Let's collaborate to make this year impactful!
